MIB opens new ATM in Malé

The Maldives Islamic Bank has opened a new automated teller machine (ATM) in the Malé region, expanding access to banking services in the capital.

The ATM, located at the MSL building on Orchid Magu, will operate 24 hours a day, the bank said.

The facility was officially inaugurated by Deputy Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Rizaa, who described the development as part of efforts to enhance services in one of the most densely populated areas of the country.

According to the bank, the ATM is equipped to handle both deposits and withdrawals in United States dollars and Maldivian rufiyaa. MIB said the new service is expected to improve convenience for employees working in nearby office buildings, enabling easier access to transactions through their accounts.

The bank also noted that the ATM’s location near the jetty area makes it accessible to tourists, providing an additional point of service for visitors.
