President congratulates graduates of National Service Programme

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has congratulated the second batch of graduates who completed the initial training under the National Service Programme.

In a post shared on social media, the President commended their efforts. He noted that the batch included 343 graduates from 112 islands, among them 113 students under the age of 18. Of the graduates, 63 were women and 280 were men.

The graduation ceremony for students who completed the initial training programme was held today. The second batch of training was conducted over a three-month period beginning on 31 January.

Selected graduates will be given the opportunity to pursue technical training at the National Patriotic Service Technical and Vocational Centre in Kihaadhoo, Baa Atoll. The government also stated that students not selected for vocational training will be assisted in securing employment opportunities based on their preferences.
