Police destroy seized narcotics

Police on Sunday destroyed narcotic drugs seized in various operations.

Police said the drugs that were incinerated in Dhoonidhoo Island were seized in various operations conducted during 2011, 2012 and 2013 and were related to 198 concluded cases.

Police said the drugs which included 146.8 grams of heroin, 748.1409 grams of cannabis and 5.3654 grams of Nitrazepam were destroyed in the presence of a special committee set up for the purpose.
