Mohamed Ali Janah, President of the Maldives Association of Construction Industry (MACI), said they were aiming to make the MACI Build and Home Expo the biggest construction fair in the region.
He made the remarks speaking at a ceremony held to appoint Chopart as the organiser and Public Service Media (PSM) as the media partner of next year’s MACI Build and Home Expo.
MACI is the standard bearer of the second largest industry in the Maldives, and it organises the biggest annual construction fair in the country.
The fair showcases building materials and construction-related services available in the country under one-roof, and brings together building material suppliers and construction companies.
Speaking at the ceremony, Janah said that foreign suppliers had shown strong interest in the Maldives, adding that such a fair would be a great networking opportunity for suppliers and construction companies.
He said “MACI aims to further expand the MACI-Build and Home Expo in the future and make it the biggest construction fair in the region.”
The upcoming MACI-Build and Home Expo is scheduled for the final week of February 2017.
