State Pharmaceutical and Medical Supply Corporation Limited (State Pharma) has announced the signing of an agreement with Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Limited (HPL), a leading Bangladeshi drug manufacturer, to ensure a steady flow of high‑quality medicines to every corner of the archipelago.
The partnership aims to bolster the Maldivian healthcare system by expanding State Pharma’s international supplier network and reinforcing the country’s pharmaceutical supply chain.
According to the state-owned firm, this agreement is an important step towards securing an uninterrupted supply of required high‑quality medicines for the Maldives and further strengthening its distribution system. It will also facilitate the introduction of trusted pharmaceutical products into the market and support the goal of delivering essential medicines to all citizens, it added.
HPL, which exports to more than 32 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, brings a proven track record of quality manufacturing to the deal. State Pharma added that the new arrangement complements its ongoing efforts to cultivate relationships with world‑renowned firms.
State Pharma is also advancing a demand‑forecasting and advance‑stocking system and constructing regional warehouses across the Maldives to streamline nationwide distribution.
