President Muizzu sends condolences after Norway's King Harald V’s death

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has sent condolences to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre following the death of King Harald V.

In a message to the Norwegian prime minister, President Dr Muizzu expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Norwegian monarch and offered condolences on behalf of the Maldivian government and people to the Royal Family, government and people of Norway.

The president said King Harald V would be remembered for his lifelong service to Norway, steadfast leadership and commitment to the welfare of the Norwegian people.

He described the king’s death as a great loss not only to Norway but also to those who admired his service and dedication.

President Muizzu also expressed hope that the memory of King Harald V would provide strength and solace to the Royal Family and comfort to those mourning his death.
