The Maldives has condemned a drone attack on the East-West Pipeline in Saudi Arabia's Riyadh and Madinah regions, which injured civilians and damaged the vital infrastructure.
The Maldivian government said several drones originating from Iraqi territory were used in the attack.
It described the targeting of vital infrastructure as a "blatant violation" of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and said the incident posed a serious threat to regional peace, security and stability.
The Maldives expressed solidarity with the Saudi government and people, and reaffirmed its support for measures taken by Riyadh to protect its sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
