Speaker of Parliament Abdul Raheem Abdulla has departed to Arusha, Tanzania, to participate in the 153rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
The assembly is scheduled to be held from 5th to 9th October. Abdul Raheem will address the General Debate of the Assembly, held under the theme, “Enhancing good governance and empowering communities through inclusivity, trust and opportunities for all”.
The Maldivian delegation will also include Parliamentarian for Hulhudhoo Constituency, Mohamed Shahid, Parliamentarian for Baarshu Constituency Ibrahim Shujau, Parliamentarian for Central Maafannu Constituency Asma Rasheed, Parliamentarian for Huraa Constituency Dr. Anara Naeem, Parliamentarian for Nilandhoo Constituency Fathimath Sauda, Parliamentarian for Gadhdhoo Constituency Mohamed Ali, Parliamentarian for Thoddoo Constituency Hussain Sameer, Counsel General Fathimath Filza, Chief of Bureau Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik, Assistant Director General of Foreign Relations Department Zuyyina Badhree.
