State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) installed two new generators at Hulhumale' powerhouse as part of the effort to ease electricity shortages facing the island. The two 6MW generators installed in Hulhumale' powerhouse was part of the project to upgrade electricity services provided in Male' region.
STELCO said the company will monitor the demand and increase number of generators as per requirement. Further plans to bring two more generators for the Hulhumale' powerhouse is in the pipeline, according to STELCO.
