Registrar of companies Mariyam Visam has assured that the landscape for foreign investment has tremendously changed over the past couple of years. She made the statement on PSM News’ current affairs talk show, Maldives Today.
Visam assured that the landscape for foreign investment has grown tremendously over the past couple of years. She stated that it would result in more job opportunities, new talents and new sectors in the future. Speaking about private sector investment, Registrar Visam said that it is worthwhile to note that the number of newcomers who do business locally, is increasing.
The positive effect of the government's effort is evident in the increase in the total number of youth as well as others who are interested in investing in or in doing businesses, Visam said.
She assured that even though foreign investments are brought into Maldives, the government will always work for the security of private sector investments.
