Tourist arrivals from Germany reach record high

Tourist arrivals from Germany reached 91,000 by the end of October, which is a 4% increase, year on year.

It is also a positive sign, when considering the fact that arrivals from Germany decreased during the first six months of the year. With European countries topping the list of countries of origin for tourists to Maldives, according to the latest statistics, tourists originating from Europe make 46% of total tourist arrivals.

Germany along with Italy, Russia and France top the list.

A total of hundred 106,383  tourists from Germany arrived in Maldives in 2016. This is an increase of 1.2% compared to 2015.
