Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Ziyad has stated that Malaysia is a steadfast partner in expanding the Islamic knowledge and culture in the Maldives.
In an exclusive interview with PSM News, Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Ziyad stated that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Maldives and Malaysia, it has provided support in various aspects in the efforts of Maldives in spreading Islamic knowledge and culture. Shedding light on the close relations both countries share, Islamic Minister Ziyad stated that the Islamic Centre in Male' city symbolises the strong bond as the centre was constructed with the assistance of Malaysian craftsmen.
In addition, Minister Ziyad further revealed that a delegation from the Ministry is expected to travel to Malaysia to seek expert advice and support from Malaysian authorities on the best practice of Zakat and Hajj management.
