First lady concludes historic tour of Alifu Alifu atoll

First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim has concluded her tour of Alifu Alifu atoll. This tour makes history, making her, the first First Lady of Maldives, to visit to all 8 islands of Alifu Alifu atoll.

First lady Fathimath Ibrahim kick started her social campaign this year, from the islands of Alifu Alifu atoll. The First Lady toured all eight islands of the atoll in three days.

On Wednesday she visited the islands of Thoddoo, Rasdhoo and Bodufulhadhoo where she held meetings and interacted with people with disabilities, senior citizens, women and senior government officials of the island. First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim who is recognised for the close bond she maintains with citizens, visited the islands of Ukulhas, Feridhoo and Mathiveri on Thursday.

The first destination on Friday was the island of Himendhoo where First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim interacted with citizens and observed the situation in the region. The last destination of the Alifu Alifu tour was the island of Maalhos where she interacted with people with disabilities, senior citizens, women and senior government officials of the island.

While First lady Fathimath Ibrahim received warm welcomes from each island she had visited in her tour to Alifu Alifu atoll, a special rally was organized by Ruling Progressive Party, PPM which saw First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim in attendance. Senior governmental officials, Members of Parliament and politicians from the ruling coalition participated in this rally. The rally was held in the island of Mathiveri.
