Ministry of Education has commenced an education sector analysis workshop to develop a strategic action plan for the next five years. The workshop named Education Sector Plan 2018-2022 is being carried out with the assistance of Global Partner for Education Fund.
Education Ministry reveals that during the workshop, several papers focusing on different subjects will be presented for discussions. In this regard, papers related to the existing situation of the education sector, enhancing the sector, education for children with special needs and inclusive education will be discussed widely in the workshop.
The workshop will enable to further understand the school management system, said Minister of State for Education Ahmed Shafeeu while speaking about the workshop. Education Ministry said it hopes to complete the collection of information needed from the strategic action plan by March. The Ministry will collect information from schools in Male' Area and in atolls.
The workshop, facilitated by experts, is attended by 60 participants from schools, colleges, universities, United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and non-governmental organisations.
