Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Ziyad has departed to Saudi Arabia to acquire information about the Hajj arrangements for this year.
During the visit, Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Ziyad will meet with the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia and discuss the arrangements of the pilgrimage. The Minister will conclude the official trip on March 31.
To ease the journey of pilgrims, the government of Saudi Arabia established a separate immigration counter for Maldivians in Jeddah airport last year.
