Ministry of Education has granted membership for 15 individuals from the National School Assessment Network. The memberships were presented by Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham.
Unavailability of quality members to assess schools is one main challenge faced by the education sector with the introduction of the new curriculum in 2014, Education Minister Aishath Shiham said addressing the ceremony. The establishment of a National School Assessment Network was aimed to improve quality education in all schools, according to the Minister.
The National Assessment Network was established by Education Ministry to assess the schools and to assist the quality assurance department in conducting the national assessment. The main task of the network includes conducting and assessing training programmes for teachers.
Education Ministry noted the efforts of the network will be more efficient, with the addition of new members.
