President sends condolence to Indian Prime Minister

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of condolence to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, following the tragic bus accident in Himachal Pradesh.
In the message, President Abdulla Yameen stated the news about the tragic bus accident in Himachal Pradesh, causing the loss of several innocent lives including small children and serious injuries to many was learnt with deep sadness. The President conveyed profound sympathies to Prime Minister, the Government and friendly people of India at this time of sorrow, on behalf of the Government and the people of Maldives.
On conclusion, President conveyed condolence to injured victims and their families and wished for a speedy recovery.
Moreover, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Asim sent a message of condolence to the Minister of External Affairs of India Sushma Swaraj, following the tragic bus accident.
In the message, Foreign Minister extended sincere condolences and sympathies to the Government and friendly people of India, especially to the families of the victims and wished for a speedy recovery to the injured, during this time of national distress, on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives.
