Environment Minister to attend Sustainable Communities and Climate Change Summit

Minister of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim has departed to Dubai to attend the 2nd Sustainable Communities and Climate Change Summit. The Maldivian Environment Minister will give a keynote speech at the summit.
The summit held under the patronage of Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Sustainable Communities and Climate Change Summit (SCCCS) Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is a dedicated platform for stakeholders from different sectors, geographies, and industries to present and discuss major regional and international issues in relation to climate change and other sustainability challenges facing communities.
The summit will provide a special space to showcase sustainability startups allowing them to spread ideas and introduce them to a valuable network of supporters and it will provide an opportunity to launch key regional and global partnerships on sustainable communities and climate change. Over 250 decision makers and professionals from different cities, national governments, non-governmental organisations, United Nations bodies and the private sector will attend the summit.
