First Lady of Maldives Fathimath Ibrahim has visited six islands of Thaa Atoll, as part of her national social campaign.
On the first day of the tour, she visited the islands of Vilifushi, Madifushi and Guraidhoo. On the second day of the tour, she visited islands of Gaadhiffushi, Dhiyamigili and Veymandoo. The First Lady received a warm welcome from the residents of the islands.
First Lady met with children, women and people with disabilities and staff of government authorities and enquired about the living condition of the citizens in the islands, during the trip.
The First Lady commenced the national social campaign in 2017. The First Lady has held meetings with citizens to listen to opinions and complaints, with priority given to the disabled and the elderly people of the communities, during the social campaign.
First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim began a three-day tour of Thaa Atoll yesterday.
