Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has revealed plans to lease land to conduct business and other industrial activities in Vilufushi of Thaa atoll.
The administration pays high priority to the issues faced by the residents of Vilufushi such as issues of housing and business opportunities, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said speaking at a gathering held as part of the recent visit of First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim to Thaa atoll. In this regard, Minister Muizzu revealed efforts are underway to set guidelines for the leasing of lands for conducting business activities and developing industrial zones.
Noting that housing is one such other major issue faced by the residents the island, the Housing Minister said funds are allocated from the state budget to develop new housing units. On this note, Minister Muizzu assured the administration would commence the development of new housing units and complete the housing projects initiated in the island.
