First Lady, Fathimath Ibrahim has stated that President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom is the inspiration behind her efforts to help those in need and applauds his commitment and loyalty in assisting and guiding such initiatives. The Maldivian First lady made this statement while addressing a special rally organized by the ruling party, Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) in Fuvahmulah City.
Noting that women are a major and important pillar in the development of the country, First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim stated that it is high time that all Maldivian women take the plunge by taking on a more prominent and visible role in the development of the country.
In her maiden address at a political gathering, First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim stated that via her tours as part of her social campaign, she has noticed numerous female personalities that have the capability to outshine Maldivian men and called on all women to make the best of the opportunities provided by the current administration.
Continuing on, the First Lady said that President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom is the inspiration behind her efforts to help those in need as he has always stayed loyal in assisting and guiding her in such initiatives.
On this note, First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim credited President Yameen for ushering in, fast and efficient development to the country, which has improved the economy of Maldives.
