President calls to hold on to Islamic manners and practices

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has appealed to all Maldivians to steadfastly hold on to Islamic manners and practice.
President Abdulla Yameen underscored that it is a true blessing to witness the Holy month and extended greetings on the occasion, to the people of Maldives and to the wider Muslim Community, in a special message on the occasion of the beginning of the Holy month of Ramadan. The President highlighted with the month of Ramadan comes also the opportunity to engage in our beliefs and spirituality.
Additionally, the President noted the revelation of the Holy Quran took place during the month of Ramadan and it is essential to engage in good deeds, timely prayers and renew the passion of reciting the Holy Quran.
