MTCC to re-develop eastern artificial beach in Male' city

Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure contracts Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) to re-develop the eastern artificial beach area in the capital city. The contract was signed by Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and Chief Executive Officer of MTCC Ibrahim Ziyath, at a special ceremony.
The re-development of the eastern artificial beach area will be conducted at a cost of USD 844,000, according to Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure. The beach will be re-developed to provide a comfortable environment for the citizens as part of the efforts of the administration to provide a leisure life for the citizens, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said speaking at the signing ceremony. The artificial beach will be re-developed with the inclusion of outdoor gyms and cafés, according to the Minister.
So far, the administration of Maldives has developed 11 social parks and an artificial beach on the western side of the capital city.
