Maldives Coast Guard has undertaken joint surveillance with Indian Navy, in the Maldivian exclusive economic zone.
The serial surveillance operation in Maldivian exclusive economic zone was held on May 12, according to the Coast Guard. Indian navy warships conducted the operation along with Maldivian coast guard ships, during the joint surveillance.
India and Maldives are close maritime neighbours with strong and extremely cordial defence and diplomatic relations.
