'Emme Aligadha Thari Junior' show to begin tonight

Public Service Media (PSM) has revealed plans to air the audition episodes of the 'Emme Aligadha Thari Junior', Quran recitation competition, tonight. As per information provided by the production team, the auditions telecast tonight would show children who auditioned for the competition from Male' city and the atolls.

The nationwide Quran competition would be telecast every Wednesday and Saturday throughout Ramadan. Auditions of the competition were held in Naifaru of Lhaviyani atoll, Dhiddhoo of Haa Alifu atoll and Male' city.

The competition is aimed at providing a healthy, competitive environment for children, and to create a younger generation that is more acquainted to the practice of reciting the holy Quran. The competition was opened for children between the ages of 8 and 16.

The winner of the competition would win a grand price of USD 19,362. The first and second runner ups would win USD 6,454 and USD 3,227 respectively.
