Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has signed with China Harbour Engineering Company Limited for the installation of water pipeline and fibre optic cable through China Maldives Friendship Bridge.
At a ceremony, the agreement was signed by Managing Director of MWSC Fazul Rasheed and Executive General Manager of China Harbour Engineering Company Limited Xiang Nan. China Maldives Friendship Bridge Water Pipeline will facilitate conveyance of water through the fiber cable between Male' and Hulhumale', further securing continuous and sustainable provision of safe water to the people of the Male' region, according to MWSC.
MWSC stated the project is expected to be completed by September this year.
