Minister of Defence Adam Shareef Umar has stated the government has the full support of citizens of Fainu Island to conduct the airport development project in the island.
In response to the rumours that some media agencies are spreading false reports regarding the airport development project in Fainu, Minister Adam Shareef noted the project was planned by the government 26 years ago and it has been a dream of the people of the island.
The Government contracted the project to develop the airport with Island Aviation Services Limited. The project which will be conducted in 3 phases at would cost USD 8 million, according to Island Aviation.
