Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim has met with President of Japan-Maldives Friendship League, Wataru Takeshita.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister Asim thanked Japan-Maldives Friendship League members for their unwavering support to advance the friendly relations between the two countries.
Minister Asim and the League’s President Takeshita noted the increased people-to-people contact, including the growth of trade and investment between two countries over the years.
Minister Asim noted with appreciation the role played by the JOCV volunteers and thanked Government of Japan for the assistance provided through JICA over the years.
