President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has stated exchanging Eid greetings and well wishes within the Muslim community is good Islamic practice.
In his national address on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, President Abdulla Yameen stated Eid is a time to meet one another in the spirit of unity. Sending greetings to all citizens of Maldives, President Yameen underlined Eid is a time to honor good Islamic practices adding that it is also the time to especially remember those who are less fortunate around the world.
Moreover, President in his address highlighted the importance of empathy, offering prayers and extending a helping hand.
The President conveyed Eid ul-Fitr greetings and well wishes to the all Maldivian citizens and extended greetings to the Leaders and the fraternal people of all Islamic countries.
