The Coast Guard of Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) and Indian Navy have begun a special joint operation in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of Maldives.
The Maldivian Coast Guard and Indian Navy started a joint aerial surveillance patrol in the Maldivian EEZ and further information will be made public at the conclusion of the operation, Information Officer Captain of MNDF Ibrahim Azim revealed.
Over the years, Maldives and India have conducted multiple joint military operations, training programmes and drills.
