Maldives signs with Kebangsaan University

Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim has stated the biggest challenge faced in the health sector of Maldives is the lack of human resources.
Under the agreement, Kebangsaan University will give Maldivian students various opportunities to study medicine at the university. At the ceremony held the agreement was signed by Health Minister Nazim and Dean of the university Dr. Zulaiha Abdulla Mahdi.
As the 25-storey Dharumavantha Hospital is near completion, the facility is in desperate need of more medical and technical staff, Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim said while speaking at a signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the government of Maldives and Kebangsaan University of Malaysia. Noting the biggest challenge faced in the sector is lack of human resources, Minister Nazim noted government is conducting various projects to solve the issue.
University of Kebangsaan is a well-known Malaysian medical college. The main aim of the memorandum signed was to strengthen the relationship between Maldives and the university and to open opportunities for Maldives to enhance its health sector.
