Media clinic for open water swimming concludes

The first ever media clinic for open water swimming has concluded successfully.
The programme was held jointly by Swimming Association of Maldives, in collaboration with the International Swimming Federation (FINA) and Maldives Media Institute (MMI), to train media officials to promote Maldives as an open water swimming destination. The programme mainly focused on individuals who work in media. Photographers, videographers and journalists participated in the programme. Under the programme, participants were taught how to cover open water swimming events and informed about the opportunities for media in the swimming sector.
The programme will result in the promotion of Maldives as an open water swimming destination, which in turn would attract more tourists to the country, according to the General Secretary of Swimming Association of Maldives Mohamed Shaarif.
Colin Hill from the International Swimming Federation (FINA) instructed the participants at the media clinic.
