MMA prints new batch of 10 And 100 rufiyaa notes

Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has printed a new batch of 10 and 100 rufiyaa notes. The 2 notes were printed due to lack of stock and was brought to Maldives on July 5, according to a press release of MMA.
The third banknote series, Ran Dhihafaheh Note Series was launched on November 1, 2015. The series consisting of 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 rufiyaa notes was introduced into circulation on January 26, 2016. Further, the 5 rufiyaa note was added to the series on May 10, 2017 and was introduced into circulation on August 10, 2017
The Ran Dhihafaheh note series is based on Maldives and the Maldivian people. The different illustrations depict the country's unique natural beauty, and the culture and craftsmanship of Maldivians. Each note was given a distinct topic and a representative colour for ease of use. Mixed media has been used as the main design, combining traditional acrylic with a semi-realistic style used in the colouring.
