PSM signs with MNU to hold presidential debate

Public Service Media (PSM) and Maldives National University (MNU) have signed a memorandum of understanding to hold a presidential debate for the upcoming presidential election. PSM signed as the media and marketing partner of the presidential debate 2018 to be hosted by MNU. The agreement was signed by Managing Director of PSM Ibrahim Khaleel and Vice Chancellor of MNU Dr. Ali Fawaz Shareef.
While MNU is responsible in hosting the debate in an academically acceptable manner and preparing necessary questions for the debate, PSM is responsible for conducting a coverage of the debate.
MNU aims to inform the public about the candidates so that the public will be able to make the best decision while voting in the election, Vice Chancellor Ali Fawaz stated speaking at the signing ceremony. Speaking in the ceremony, Managing Director Ibrahim khaleel highlighted the main aim of PSM is to broadcast important programmes to the public and PSM aims for an academic and informative debate to be held this year.
The presidential debate 2018 is planned to be held in 3 rounds; the manifesto debate, debate of running mates and most importantly, the presidential debate.
