The new Ambassador of Ghana to Maldives Michael Nii Nortey Oquaye Esq Jnr. has paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Asim.
At a meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, foreign minister Asim congratulated ambassador Oquaye Esq Jnr. on his appointment and expressed hope the ambassador would further reinforce the strong bilateral ties and cooperation between Maldives and Ghana. Minister Asim and ambassador Oquaye Esq Jnr. exchanged views on further enhancing cooperation between both countries and reflected on ways for strengthening the existing ties especially in the areas of tourism, foreign investment and other areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Oquaye Esq Jnr. assured the Minister of his willingness and commitment to work with the Government of Maldives to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
