Addu City tertiary hospital to be completed this month

Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim has stated the project conducted to develop a tertiary hospital in Addu City will be completed by the end of this month. Upon completion of the tertiary hospital in Addu City, more specialists will be brought to enhance the services provided in the city, health minister Nazim revealed while speaking on a programme aired on PSM News.
The convention centre developed for the 17th SAARC Summit held in Addu is now being developed as a tertiary hospital at a cost of over USD 21 million. The 100-bed hospital development project is contracted to Alia Construction Private Limited.
The government of Maldives expects to enhance the health sector of Maldives with the development of the hospital. In efforts to enhance the health sector, the government has embarked on developing tertiary level hospitals in the north and south of the country.
