Elections Commission of Maldives has opened opportunity to re-register to vote in an island other than the island a citizen is registered.
Elections commission has given until August 11 to register at preferred ballot boxes, if different from their registered islands. The re-registration form must be submitted to the election commission with a copy of an official document such as identity card or passport, stated electoral body.
Elections commission has boosted preparations for the upcoming presidential election scheduled to be held on September 23.
