Ooredoo to gift an air ambulance to Maldives

Ooredoo Maldives has announced the decision of the company to gift an air ambulance to the government of Maldives.
Chairman of Ooredoo Group Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani has decided to gift an air ambulance to Maldives, CEO of Ooredoo Najib Khan revealed while speaking at the ceremony held to handover the two sea ambulances as donations to the government. In his speech, he highlighted on efforts and plans of Ooredoo Group to assist the efforts of government to develop the health sector.
In this regard, he stated in addition to gifting an air ambulance, the company also has planned to conduct several health awareness programmes in collaboration with Ministry of Health, Maldives National Defence Force and Maldivian Red Crescent. Distributing vitamins and awareness sessions will also be conducted for children as well, he added.
Chairman of Ooredoo Group Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani revealed Maldives is an important country for the company. The quality of the vessel reaffirming that future donations will also be good in quality, he assured. While Ooredoo Maldives has gifted two sea ambulances to Maldives, the company aims to gift two more sea ambulances in the near future.
With the sea ambulance donated by Ooredoo, the sea ambulance fleet in operation within Maldives have increased to 29.
Sea ambulance service was inaugurated in Maldives in 2015 by the initiative of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom after realising the swift need for adequate health service.
