Established in 1980, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) is one of the biggest and is currently the longest serving public company in Maldives. Over the years, the company has become the main partner of development of Maldives.
The government of Maldives contracts most of its infrastructure development projects to MTCC, mostly land reclamation projects. Since 2013, MTCC has completed major infrastructure development projects contracted by the government.
To deliver its success story to the public, MTCC has launched flash cards depicting the infrastructure developmental projects conducted over the past 5 years. The flash cards cite the company conducted 5 projects worth USD 4.9 million in 2014 and 14 projects costing over USD 17.2 million in 2015. In addition, according to the flash cards, MTCC has completed 15 projects worth over USD 28.8 million in 2016 while 27 projects costing over USD 58.9 million in 2017.
Moreover, the company has successfully concluded 8 projects worth over USD 11.5 million within the first five months of 2018. 32 projects, worth over USD 84.4 million, are currently ongoing while the company assures to conclude 24 projects by the end of September, according to MTCC.
