Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has officially handed over the presidential ticket of the party for the upcoming presidential election.
The presidential ticket was officially presented to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom by the deputy leader of PPM Abdul Rahman Abdulla at a function held at Dharubaaruge convention centre. Furthermore, at the ceremony, President Yameen officially presented the ticket to his running mate Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.
Prior to accepting the presidential ticket, Shaheem signed as a member of the party, which was accepted by President Yameen.
Members of PPM, during the ceremony, revealed the presidential ticket was handed over to President Yameen and his running mate Shaheem to continue the mega development projects initiated by the administration and to further advance Islamic principles in the country.
