Running mate of incumbent president, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has stated opposition is using the same strategy which was used previously to misguide the citizens. The running mate of the ruling party made the remarks while speaking on Nation First programme aired on PSM News.
Citing the statements made by the opposition, Dr. Shaheem underscored the opposition only has interests to disrupt the independence and sovereignty of the country. Opposition is deploying the same strategy over and over again to influence the minds of the citizens, revealed Shaheem. He urged the public to be aware of the plots of the opposition and to put the nation first on voting day.
Furthermore, Shaheem also denounced the efforts of the opposition against the rapid development successfully implemented by the government. He revealed there is fear the economic and infrastructure advancement achieved in the past 4 years might be disrupted if the opposition come to power.
During the programme, Shaheem also criticised the efforts of the opposition against the Islamic principles established in the country.
