Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has commenced tarring of the roads in Funadhoo of Shaviyani Atoll under the road development project initiated in the island.
As part of the project, a total of 4.8 kilometres of road will be developed with an area of 3.3 kilometres will be tarred, according to MTCC. While tarring has begun, MTCC has concluded the construction of pavements.
The road development project was delayed as the sewerage development project was ongoing, adding tarring of the roads will be concluded according to the schedule, President of Funadhoo Council Ahmed Ibrahim said speaking with PSM News.
Under the road development project initiated in Funadhoo, 48% of the road network of the island will be developed. MTCC expects to complete the project by the end of October.
