Ministry of Health has announced the commencement of postoperative care services in Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital. Postoperative care is the care a patient receives after a surgical procedure and often includes pain management and wound care.
Furthermore, the government of Maldives has initiated the installation of a MRI machine, a CTC machine and other advanced technology at Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital as part of the efforts to develop the largest healthcare facility located in Haa Dhaalu Atoll. With the commencement of postoperative care from the theatre complex, it will enable the hospital to perform more surgeries and provide more space to admit patients, according to health ministry.
The 50-bed Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital offers specialist doctor services, diagnosis services, ultrasound and radiology services. The government plans to develop the hospital to a 100-bed tertiary level hospital.
