An Indian political analyst has revealed India was behind the judicial coup staged by Supreme Court of Maldives on February 1.
In an interview aired on Rajya Sabha TV on India-Maldives ties, Professor at Defence Studies and Analysis SD Munee expressed concerns over the enhanced ties between Saudi Arabia and Maldives, stating the ties are dangerous to India. Moreover, SD Munee highlighted the failed judicial coup of February 1 staged by Supreme Court, noting the failed influence by India on the military forces of Maldives.
Maldivian authorities have also claimed the Supreme Court ruling of February 1 was widely influenced by foreign parties.
