Health sector requires collective effort from all sectors: Health Minister

Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim has stated achieving goals in the health sector needs collective efforts from all other sectors.
The plan highlights the areas where collective efforts are needed and paves way to collectively work for mutual goals, Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim stated addressing the ceremony held to launch the World Health Organisation (WHO) Country Cooperation Strategy (CCS) 2018-2022 for Maldives.
Meanwhile, WHO Representatives to Maldives Dr. Arvind Mathur lauded the achievements of Maldives in the health sector within the past few years. The CCS 2018-2022 is compiled including all sectors and areas noted Dr. Arvind Mathur, expressing confidence that Maldives will achieve what is included in the strategic plan in the near future.
CCS provides a country-specific medium-term strategic vision for the World Health Organization's cooperation with member states and outlines the collaborative agenda between the government and the organisation. CCS 2018-2022 for Maldives was launched by Health Minister Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim and WHO Representative Arvind Mathur. The CCS 2018-2022 for Maldives consists of policies related to health sector serving to further enhance the health sector of the country within the next five years.
The plan was compiled by collective efforts of Ministry of Health, Ministry of Gender and Family, Ministry of Environment and Energy, Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture and other relevant authorities.
