Running mate of Progressive Party of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has called to halt spreading comments and speeches out of context to misguide the citizens.
Addressing a meeting held with citizens of Fuvahmulah as part of his current trip to the city, the running mate of the ruling party said he is aware some media outlets have delivered some of his statements out of context. Even though some media outlets have delivered his statements false, he will keep on continuing his efforts to re-elect President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, added Shaheem. During the meeting, Shaheem expressed he is aware of different opposition ideologies in the country but noted the importance of prioritising national interests.
During the trip to Fuvahmulah, Shaheem held separate meetings with individuals and families living in the city.
