Foreign Minister sends message of condolence to his Afghan counterpart

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Asim has sent a message of condolence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Salahuddin Rabbani, following the terrorist attack in Kabul, Afghanistan.
In his message, Foreign Minister Asim stated the news of the suicide attack that targeted an educational centre in Kabul, causing tragic loss of several young innocent lives and grievous injuries was received with deep shock and sadness. The government of Maldives strongly condemns the act of terrorism and reiterate its unwavering commitment to work closely with the international community in eliminating this global menace, adding the act of terror signifies the vicious and barbaric nature of terrorism, the message said.
Further, the government extended profound condolences to Salahuddin Rabbani, the government and the people of Afghanistan on behalf of the government and the people of Maldives at this time of sorrow and national distress.
