Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed has stated Maldives is one of the fastest infrastructure developing countries in Asia, as a result of the mega projects initiated by the government.
Speaking on a special programme aired on PSM News commemorating the inauguration of Sina-Male' Bridge, Economic Minister Saeed said over the years development was halted as a result of the political chaos in the country, adding the main aim of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom was to establish peace and begin developing the country after assuming office in 2013.
The economic minister said President Yameen tirelessly works for the development of the country, prioritising all the sectors. Moreover, the economic minister stated the development policies of the president has been accepted by world leaders and is especially famous among Asian leaders. The minister further noted the rapid development in Maldives is the result of the visionary policies of the president.
Highlighting Sina-Male' Bridge opens a new chapter in development; Minister Saeed said if President Yameen secures a second term in office, more mega projects will be initiated across the country. On conclusion, the minister noted all Maldivians must be proud of the development brought to the country.
