Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has endorsed the presidential manifesto of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
In a press conference held by the ruling party, parliamentary group leader Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik said the presidential manifesto was endorsed by the council of the party, unanimously. Nihan revealed the manifesto would be officially launched at a special ceremony held in Maafannu Stadium tonight. He said the rally would be largest political rally to be held in the capital, Male’ City, with hundreds of members travelling from the islands.
Furthermore, the parliamentary group leader also noted as the treasurer of the party, Mohamed Rasheed (Hiyaly), has joined the campaign efforts of the opposition coalition, he has been removed from the post and replaced by Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim.
