Running mate of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has stated Maldives is not Afghanistan to harbour four warring leaders in the administration.
Addressing the ceremony held to launch the PPM Presidential Manifesto 2018, the running mate of the ruling party expressed Maldives would perish in warring within the coalition. Criticizing the opposition coalition, Shaheem said history shows Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) was a seed sowed to erase Islam from the country. The running mate added, during the former administrations, religious scholars were labelled terrorists and religious education was obstructed.
Referring to the inauguration of the new runway at Velana International Airport (VIA), Shaheem stated Maldives have made infrastructural history and urged to re-elect the current administration to further advance the country.
At the meeting, President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom launched his Presidential Manifesto 2018.
